Thank you for visiting the Word of Truth Ministries. Many of you are trying to find a good church home and an honest minister. It is true, many ministers in the churches of today are not ministers of God and do not speak the words of truth. It is up to those who have been truly called and anointed by God to clean this den of theives out. This ministry is attempting to do that by preaching the word of God clearly and rightly interpreted. But for those who really are interested in the things of God, there are a number of ways a true minister can be discerned: First, any minister who does not abide in the doctrine of Christ has not God. [2John 9] Second, a minister of God is obligated by God to preach the whole counsel of God and allow other ministries to operate in the church. [Acts 20:20-28; Eph. 4:11-15] Third, that minister MUST teach you the ways of God to get you into the church and to grow you unto perfection once in the church. [Acts 2:4, 38; Heb.6:1-3] Fourth, a minister must allow and encourage questioning of his teachings by the congregants, and he must be able to give solid Bible answers to your questions; never take fluff answers to serious questions--the Bible says prove ALL things and hold fast to that which is good. [Acts 17:11; 1Thes. 5:21] If a pastor does not fit into these criteria, I would be leery of that preacher. Furthermore, if a pastor preaches tithe-paying for New Testament saints, be leery of that preacher; he will usually live far above the very congregants at the expense of those congregants--something is unfair and wrong with that picture; Jesus said that the greatest among us should be servants to us. [Mark 9:35] Usually these high-rollers are non-working ministers who fleece the people of God for overly expensive cars and houses and wrongly use the scriptures to rationalize such untoward behavior and become angry when called out about their sins--Paul said to beware of these dogs, which Isaiah says are lazy greedy dogs--pastors who can never get enough. [Isa. 56:10-11; Phil. 3:2] Beware of men who make merchandise of God's people. [2 Pet.2:3] Be leery of them because there are many false prophets in the churches that have money demons and a lust for the things and behaviors of this world, and not the things of Christ!
