There
are many who want the truth if it does not cost anything. But
truth always costs. Jesus, the truth of God, said: "Think
not that I am come to send peace on the earth; I came not to send
peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against
his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law
against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes shall be they of his
own household." [Matt. 10:34-36] That
is the cost of truth.
There are many who suppose that they really want the truth until
its costs are measured and come due. Then they realize that they
don't want it as much as they thought they did, when merely standing
on the sidelines mouthing a desire for it. These are they whom
God says with their mouths they do honor God but their fear
of God is actually taught by the precepts of men. [Isa.
29: 13] Therefore their fear is the fear
of men and not God. But God is putting men to the
test today. And in so doing, he is identifying and allowing
all to see who will buy the truth and sell it not and who wants
the comforts of lies more than the discomforts that truth engenders.
[Prov. 23:23]
About
four months ago, God sent me by unction of the Spirit to a brother
I had not seen in over 15-years. God had me to find him and deliver
a specific word to him. After delivering the word of God to him,
the unction left. This brother has been a source of comfort, courage,
and light to many over the 35-years I have known him in God. But
two months after delivering that word, I felt I should go see
him again, just to visit.
I
went to this house not knowing what awaited me from God, just
that I wanted to see him again. This was not by unction but by
my own personal desire. As we sat talking and I shared with him
matters of the church that grieved my spirit, God moved upon him
in prophecy, and as I was sharing, he leaped in his sprit and
told me to find 1 Samuel 15 and read it aloud. I read down
through verse 33. At that verse, God, through him, commanded that
I stop: And he prophesied upon me: "Thus says the Lord,
THIS IS YOU. You are Samuel. As he hewed Agag in peices, so must
you do. This is the purpose for which I have raised you up. Hew
them down and no man will be able to gainsay against you."
This
is the prophecy of this ministry.
As we talked, he assured me that the fulfilling of this prophecy
will be hard, that I will be hated, even threatened, but that
is why God has prepared me. That I already knew and understood,
but God confirmed that truth through this brother's prophecy while
I was there. Since that time
God has moved on me in clear and direct ways to speak and write
and teach his word. But I have received e-mails and other words
that many are dissatisfied with many of the things I have preached
and written in and through this ministry. Not that they can disprove
these teachings; they simply don't like this truth, which is the
truth of God.
Friction
is a natural consequence of change--movement from one position
to another. Even nature teaches that in order to go up, one must
exert a greater force than the force (gravity) that keeps us down;
or to go forward, one must exert a greater force than the force
(inertia) that keeps us still. Gravity pulls down; inertia holds
in place. You must apply a greater force than these two forces
if you are to progress. But be assured, movement always causes
friction. It is natural; it is the way of truth. Note Jesus' words
in Matt. 10:36--variance [friction] is on display when
truth is purchased and sold not. Not everyone will buy truth;
many desire the status quo and its comforts, unlike Moses. That,
too, is a natural aspect of our behavior, our nature, and our
nurturing--it is the flesh and the flesh must be overcome to do
the work of God or to get the good things of God.
This
ministry will buy the truth and not sell it. Consequently, we
allow and encourage those who claim that our writing and preaching
is in err to challenge what we say.
We want to know the truth of God's word, and if we are not teaching
or preaching it correctly assist us in getting it correct.
We air all who challenge us and will respond. However, if you
are wrong, and we are right, we hope you will buy the truth and
sell it not.
This
ministry has no vested interests in anything but the truth of
God's word and that the saints of the most high God be given that
word honestly and with integrity. For only the word of God can
cause the people to grow into Christ, as we are commanded to do.
[Eph. 4] Also, this ministry does
not ask for any loyalties to us; we ask that believers trust in
God's word--no cult of personalities do we seek! And we seek no
funds from you! We are interested in you, not your money.
We are interested in the Word of God, not the traditions
and customs of men!
Truth
will seem disruptive to those in the comfort of lies and traditions
that make God's word ineffectual. [Mat. 15]
Jesus explained this as men loving darkness rather
than light because their deeds are evil. Light takes adjusting
to as a first step; second, it requires some getting
accustomed to if one is to appreciate it and prefer it. This is
the lesson of Plato's Allegory of The Cave. And,
indeed, the voice of God is in it too [Psa.
19].
The
response to harsh truth is always the same. Satan's methods are
historically developed and demonstrated so that Paul said that
we are not ignorant concerning his devices: First,
the messenger of God who speaks the word of God to the discomfort
of some that God may bring light to many is attacked as he bears
the painful truth. They will try to discredit him in any way possible.
Second, there is the searching for sin in his life--but
God seldom uses such messengers to carry his truth. Third,
they will attempt to give a one-sided discussion of God's truth.
When that does not succeed, they will warn others about him. Finally,
they will put him in jail or kill him. A reading of the Prophet
Jeremiah, when he attempted to bring a harsh truth, and a reading
of the Prophet Amos will show this pattern of behavior.
But
note Jesus. He said that he did not come to send peace, rather
a sword. This sword will cut finely, between family members, friends,
the soul and the spirit, the joint and the marrow, it will discern
the thoughts and intents of the heart, it will make a difference
between clean and unclean, etc. [Heb. 4:12-13]
Truth
is important because only the truth will make you free.
Anything else only sets you free. It is important to note
that Jesus did not say it will SET you free. He said it will MAKE
you free. That is a difference with a meaningful distinction.
To set free is to modify a condition somewhat. To make
free is to create anew. Hence, we are new creatures in Christ
Jesus. But there are many who prefer to be set free by
men. Christ Jesus makes you free, and he whom the son MAKES free
is free indeed. Free from the fears of man; free
to fear God.
The
cost of this freedom was the life of Christ. What are you willing
to pay for the truth of God's word? Please, this cost is not money!
The
conditions that we address in this ministry are not peculiar to
any one church. These conditions are widespread in Jesus Name
Churches, Pentecostal Churches, Evangelical Churches generally.
Sin has crept into them, overtaken them, and almost slain them.
For these churches to come under the sword of the Word of God
is new. But it is needed. This sin issue needs to be addressed
by the leadership of God's house. God
has anointed us to cry that the sword cometh! We are warning
the people to move away the sins; we are warning the people so
that their sins will not be upon our hands. That is what true
ministers of God do; if the ministers of God allow the wickedness
in leadership to continue, how shall the people be saved?
Preaching against sin in the pulpit and the pews is to hew to
pieces Agag.
Anyone can preach a good sermon, but the question is, will such
a one be used of the Lord? When one is used of God, he will speak
the truth of God's word and that truth spoken will cut and injure
those found wanting. But it will also divide between clean and
unclean, and it will mean that many will take it as a personal
attack on them and despise us. We attack no one personally. Citing
public individuals is not personal. These are public figures that
have no such cloaks of privacy by law. And since we do not know
them personally, but we know their public deeds as a matter of
public record, we do not personally attack them. And since we
know these actions are actions God has called us to cry against
are so widespread, I admonish you that we cover all where sin
of the type we cry against is, not a particular person or
a respected assembly--just sin in the pulpits that always breeds
carnality in the pews.
For
God has sent us to be a watchman on the wall and to cry against
the iniquities of His people. The days of playing church are over.
Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof is over.
Comparing ourselves by ourselves is over. Enriching the heads
of the flock at the expense of the body is over. God will no longer
blink at this behavior--judgment has begun at the house of God.
What
we are doing in this Word of Truth Ministries is this: Coming
against the leadership that is leading the people astray.
God has not left his flock without a voice; He has called and
anointed the seven thousand who have not bowed their knees to
Baal. Second, God is calling out a people who will be ready
for the return of Christ; a people without spots, without blemishes,
or any such things.
We
cry: The King is coming! And this cry will be
made in homes, on street corners, in parks, in assemblies, in
schools, in hospitals, in jails, and elsewhere. The Bridegroom
cometh! Are you ready to go out and meet him?
This,
my brothers and sisters, is not personal, this is godly and spiritual.
This is about your eternal salvation, not about petty one-upmanships.
Those are behaviors of ungodly men.
