Famous Quotations

"Was not Jesus an extremist for love -- "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you." Was not Amos an extremist for justice -- "Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream." Was not Paul an extremist for the gospel of Jesus Christ -- "I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus." Was not Martin Luther an extremist -- "Here I stand; I can do none other so help me God." Was not John Bunyan an extremist -- "I will stay in jail to the end of my days before I make a butchery of my conscience." Was not Abraham Lincoln an extremist -- "This nation cannot survive half slave and half free." Was not Thomas Jefferson an extremist -- "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." So the question is not whether we will be extremist but what kind of extremist will we be."

A Carnality that Cripples and Kills a Church
Frank A. Jones
There is an egregious sin that seems harmless, but it is killing the church of God and hindering the saints of God from progressing in Him. It is a sin of leadership that filters down to the congregation.

We all Must be Born Again
Frank A. Jones
Jesus said to Nicodemus, and by extension, to us, that we must be born again of water and spirit, and without it, we cannot see or enter the Kingdom of God. What is meant by being born again?

A Challenge to All is Needed to Know the Truth

Frank A. Jones
For too long we have allowed preachers and especially pastors to teach anything that they wanted without a knowing, intelligent and spiritually mature challenge of what they teach and say. The result of that is there is so much man-made doctrine in Jesus name and other supposedly holiness churches that God is grieved by Jesus Name Churches and pastors' pretenses. We need to challenge the false teachings of all of the wicked ministers in Jesus name.

A Message of Hope
by Bishop G. T. Haywood
Elder G. T. Haywood was the founding bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW). He was one of the pioneers in the Oneness Movement. This sermon was preached at the Apostolic Faith Assembly, Indianapolis, Ind., during a Sunday morning service in April, 1922.

I Speak Concerning Christ and The Church

by FA Jones
Do you understand the profound significance of the marriage in understanding what God's plan is for the saved--His bride. Read this exegesis of Ephesians 5 and have your  understanding open to the word of God.

The Falling Away: A Period in Church History that is still present

By Elder S. C. McClain
Elder S. C. McClain was an instructor of Church History at the Pentecostal Bible Institute. He was one of the pioneers in the Oneness Movement, as the Apostolic Faith was then called in the USA. This excerpt comes from his book, Student's Handbook of Facts in Church History, 1959.

God's Strange Work
by Frank A. Jones
I
t is often said, God is love. He is that but much more. Many have used this scripture to limit God's behavior toward them. But God said I created evil and I do good. The Isaiah 28 scripture indicates that God has a strange work. What is that strange work to us, but common to God?

No Man is an Island
by John Donne
The Elizabethan poet and minister, John Donne, wrote this sermon many years ago, and it has become a classic for college freshmen and English majors.

The Metaphors of God
In an extensive discussion of The Law, as it related to the New Testament church, the Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Galatians 4, that the Law and the two sons Paul talked about were not as real as one would imagine. Instead, although their existence was real as we attribute reality today and during his time, there was a greater reality that was at work.

Sir, We would See Jesus

by Frank A. Jones
Certainly one of the most beautiful scriptures in the Bible. But as beautiful as it is, most are baffled by Jesus' response to the Greeks who sought an audience with him. But understanding his response is to understand this apparent request, but God's hidden meaning. Read this sermon and be edified.

He Is Coming
He’s Coming Back, written and produced by Ms. Lavern Bolton, directed by Kimberley Miller, Rachel Cooks, and Jean Williams, with their splendid music director, Carl Fortier,  is the best church production I have witnessed in many years. This yearly musical/play was performed to an overflow crowd of some 500-700 churchgoers and the non-church-goers alike in the renovated theater that has been the sanctuary of the SF Christian Center Church for over 25 years.

Religious Cults: A propensity for them
African Americans are a religious people. They have been religious before coming to this nation, but the conditions under which they came and existed have generated further religious fervor. Often people who are oppressed and enslaved find solace in religion; that is what happened to Africans coming to America.

False Prophets and other Religious Degradations

A San Francisco Black newspaper ran a full-page ad announcing, "Our Savior Has Arrived." When going to the website listed, it was seen that our savior is none other than Solomon. His site has this: " Solomon, Allah in Person, is the Spiritual Head of The United Nation of Islam, which is a different entity than the Nation of Islam.

What men do in the name of God
by Frank A. Jones
After viewing the Bin Laden tapes, one can easily realize that he is only following the tradition of others who have committed the most outrageous acts in the name of God. If their acts were god inspired, what type of gods would they be?

An Interview  with a female bishop: Bishop Ernestine C. Reems
from Gibbsmagazine.com
Dr. Ernestine C. Reems is the second nationally recognized, high profile female to be crowned bishop, a position that is not usually accorded to females. The first was Bishop Vasthi MacKenzie.

A Culture of Ignorance pervades too many homes and churches
from Gibbsmagazine.com
Within some portions of the Black community there is the appeal, indeed, the preaching and propagation of this culture of ignorance. For Black Americans, it was started during slavery, and it has been preached as godliness by some of our churches, and propagated as a norm by an antithetical media and some social institutions.
