American Christianity is Convoluted: It is Not Godly

Americans are an egocentric people who often think themselves above others in the world and even at home. One cannot however believe such nonsense and that nonsense not have negative consequences. The consequences of the idea that one being is above another are many and take you out of the realm of true Christianity and into another realm completely antithetical to the correct principles of Christianity. First of all, Christ Jesus said, “He that would be greatest among you, let him be your servant.” [Mat. 23:11] This, of course, has been disregarded because American Christians are not servants to anyone; certainly not to other Christians—other than the many who have subjugated themselves unto pastors/gurus who now exercise a dictatorial rule of God’s people. These pastors have lost all pretense of watching for the souls of saints--that was the first pretense they used, but now there is no pretense at all. Many American pastors, especially those among the poor and uneducated just say, “Listen to me; I’m your pastor!” And it is so; they are able to exert more influence than God. There is something wrong with this form of Christianity! The dictatorial preachers never teach the people of God to prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Come, let us reason together, says God. We compare spiritual things by spiritual things. These and the many other admonitions of God are ignored because they are dangerous to evil men and seducers. However, they never fail to teach tithing, an Old Testament doctrine NEVER intended to be a part of New Testament teaching, and a doctrine that cannot be scripturally sustained/proven in scripture (nor would a true man of God attempt to sustain it) in the face of any true man of God who knows the word of God. That is because they love money, and why wouldn't they? They are in a capitalistic society that has money as its god. This system of tithes in the church was once a product of unlearned men; now it is a product of evil men—an American form of Christianity that has nothing to do with what God says but what man wants. Today, Christians are in the era of the Americanism that has branded Christianity by its philosophy, namely money and conspicuous consumption and carnality, and this American brand has gone worldwide, but in the eyes of God the USA and its diluted and convoluted brand of Christianity is only an ember in the flames of a dying trend in history that will pass even as the era of Emperor Constantine’s Christianity is now a part of the dust of history. Yet so proudly American Christianity casts its shroud across the earth and tells the world and itself that God is on its side, because we are a Christian nation; yet we never think that our Christianity may be a bit flawed. We are so cocksure of ourselves that we never “Examine ourselves to see if we be in the faith” and will not allow others to preach God’s word that will tear down our false illusions of our self-righteousness. I have never seen so many Christians in America before. From the president on down, everyone is a Christian nowadays. Yet sin is at an all time high; the government under this “Christian president” is sinful and corrupt, although it talks a good show—but that is what the people want--the prophet Jeremiah said, "They love to have it so." Across this nation, in coffee shops and libraries, there are loud discussions about being a Christian. This Christianity is unlike any that Jesus or his holy apostles brought. It is an American brand of Christianity that cuts and pastes God’s word to configure a Christianity that is according to each individual’s taste and lifestyle. And it comports pitifully with God’s word and God’s requirements for following him. But they don’t care; they have made God into their image, in this reversal of truth! And where God said that the love of money is the root of all evil, they have prided themselves on having lots of it because, in America (whether Christian or not—and one cannot really distinguish the American Christians from other talkative Americans) money makes the world go around; at least America's world. The American Christian has thoroughly watered down/diluted God’s word to conform to his carnal lifestyle. That is a lifestyle that is one of pleasure and carnalities. This form of weakened Christianity is not even Christian-lite; it is just not Christianity at all. The American Christian is sold to the idea of having money as the bedrock of his existence so he can have creature comforts and beyond. All Americans seem to think that it is their God-given right to be happy, and happiness to an American means having a new car, a big home, and all the creature comforts imaginable. Look at most Americans, especially those who call themselves Christians; they are overfed to the point that it shows not only in their waistlines but also in their health. They have too much of everything, but not enough of God. On God they diet unto death; on all carnal things, they over engage and indulge themselves, because they are not Christians at all. They have the American form of Christianity—avarice and gluttony—that is contrary to God’s word. They live for this life and this life only. These types of Christians are not looking for any blessed hope and glorious appearing of that great God! Indeed, most of these are having too much fun for the return of Christ. All he would do is to break up their party! These are they who are right in their own eyes, yet not washed from their filthiness. The American form of Christianity has mixed itself with politics. The Republicans have tapped into Christianity and given them leadership positions and have deceived them. This is not new. The greatest departure of Christians from the faith actually started in 313AD. That is the approximate year that Emperor Constantine of Rome took the reins of the church and declared that no one could serve in his government unless that person was a Christian. The church thought that a good thing was dawning, but, in fact, Satan was merely transforming himself. Instead of being on the outside, he was now inside determining doctrine and policies. He took over the church! Under Constantine, persecution of the Christians ceased, but being inside the church, Satan was capable of doing more damage than when he was outside. He changed teachings so drastically that the church fell into darkness for many years and in many parts it has yet to recover. Certainly a principle can be derived from this marriage of the church and politics, and it is this: Whenever the church marries into politics, politics takes over and leaves the church in slivers and without God so that they will do anything and say that it is in the name of God. That is what has happened to “Christians” in this nation. American “Christianity” married politics and resultantly American “Christianity” is little more than the voice of Americanism. Their tenets are the tenets of American patriotism, poorly defined, for the nation, and the truths that these Christians see are only the truths of this nation, not what God is saying to this nation and every person who walks upon the face of this earth. The extreme money lust that so many Christians and Christian pastors have is derived from the very nature of the nation, not from God—even though wicked men pervert God’s word to have it say silly things that support their pernicious ways. America is a capitalistic nation. It is built on capitalism, and the central thrust of this nation is money—lots of it. The problem with that is that if the god of a nation is money, money becomes everything and people become chattel to that god. This is why we are told not to love the things of the world and that if we do, the love of the father is not within us! [1 Tim.6:9-11]Oh, my brothers and sisters in American Christianity, it cannot save. Jesus and he alone is the door. We have seen imperial powers take over the church as they would invade a nation, but those powers and the people with them have and shall all perish in the dust and ashes of history. Jesus, not Americanism, can save you. Americanism deludes you with flawed reasoning that allows you to live in a state of deception, thinking you are saved when you are not. Jesus and he alone is the door to God! If one will be saved, that person must be saved/be a Christian God's way, which has nothing to do with this current brand of Americanism that is proselytizing itself as Christianity. It is not the way of God, but the way of carnality!
